If there was one thing she wanted to know the most, it was how in the world did HE manage to talk her into doing this stupid crap?! How in the world did Rufus Shinra even talk her father figure into even working for him again?! She knew that he had once worked for Shinra Inc, and had been fired but why go back to work for them?
But here she was. Sitting on a flaky boulder watching Dr. Ryuu study the strange symbols on one of the Shell House's walls. She was there to protect him, of course. Pretty much his body guard, since she had the right skills to protect the unskilled at battle Shinra doctor.
Eden Black was definitely not in a good mood.
For nearly all her life she had a deep hatred for the company of Shinra Inc. They had put her through so much already that she could never forgive them. Though she didn't remember anything. All she remembered was that she had lived all her life; up to 18 years old, in an underground lab and had gone through so many terrible experiements. She had practically been tortured her whole life; being injected with Mako liquid, gone through extreme training, treated like an animal. The only good part about it was, there was only one man who had tried his hardest to take care of her and show her that he cared about her was Dr. Ryuu Hojo, who was the younger brother of the infamous Professor Hojo. But not many people knew that. It was because he always went by Dr. Ryuu. So only very few selected individuals knew about his relationship with the mad scientist, who was rumored to be dead.
Eden, fortunately, was freed from the lab thanks to a special individual. It wasn't Dr. Ryuu who freed her, but another. She didn't talk about her around people she didn't know though. Not many people knew about the Phoenix demon that resided inside her. In fact, no one besides Dr. Ryuu and Rufus Shinra knew about the demon, and she preferred it that way.
"Eden, are you bored over there again?" came the friendly voice of the doctor.
Eden looked up through her strands of black and met the warm brown eyes of Dr. Ryuu. He was a kind man of 43. He only looked younger than he really was. His ginger-brown hair fell around his brow and over his eyes of light chocolate. And of course, other than the dark blue suit he always wore, he was also wearing an off-white lab coat.
"Doctor, are we done yet? You've been trying to read those Ancient symbols for hours now." Eden groaned as she bent over her black leather clad knees and rested her elbows upon them.
Dr. Ryuu only chuckled before shaking his head as he glanced back at the strange vibrating symbols on the wall. "Don't worry. It'll only be a little while longer then I'll let you go train." He told her gently before going back to his research. Eden just rolled her eyes before leaning back against the rocky wall again, but then her eyes flickered off to the side. There was something near by. Or someone. It was probably a monster. It would be fun to take it out if it came near. She definitely needed a little excitement right about now. After nearly a month of spending her time in this quiet forest was starting to get to her.

Quite glad she hadn't gotten lost, Knaira shut off her bike and coast around the last bend on the map she had memorized. She was the only Turk that had bothered with a helmet, but they found her one when she described her fear of painting any roadways with her brain.

Hearing the roar of a motorcycle from somewhere within the white forest, Eden frowned as she sat up straighter from where she sat. She couldn't help but wonder who that was, or if Dr. Ryuu was expecting any company. She glanced over at him, to see that he was also looking over his shoulder. And by the looks of it, he wasn't expecting company at all.
"Dr. Ryuu, let's head back to shelter now." The serious warrioress said as she stood up. "The rest of the research can wait till later."
With a sigh, Dr. Ryuu nodded as he began to clean up. He put his notebooks back into his bag and then his translation book he had been studying from. "All right, Eden. Let's go then." he told her. Together they walked out of the Shell House and started down the road. Eden was keeping her eyes out for any sign of trouble, or any intruders. She wasn't the kind who let her guard down so easily. And sure enough, trouble showed its ugly face. A few small time monsters showed up and began to charge at the two. Eden just rolled her eyes as she took out her hand gun and began to blast away the monsters, while staying right by the scientist's side. She didn't particulary care if she caught more attention. She was actually hoping for it. It had been a dull few weeks while staying in the Forgotten City.

Comming to a straightaway on the road Knaira saw the small battle. She quickly revved her bike to life. She signaled to the shooter she couldn't see to stop and hoped they did, as she spun when she was close to the creatures attacking. Her knee skid slightly as she turned hard enough to line the back of her bike to them. Totally taken by surprise they were smashed between Knaira's back tire and a nearby tree before they even knew it. "Sorry to come up on you like that. Perhaps you can help me," She took off her helmet and stepped off the bike, "I'm here looking for someone."

Eden stopped shooting when she saw the person on the motorcycle ride up and run over the small time monsters, killing all but one, but it wasn't moving. She didn't pay any attention to it but kept her gun trained on the woman on the bike. She wasn't about to let her guard down and get attacked or let Dr. Ryuu get hurt.
"State your name and leave a message and maybe I won't shoot you." Eden said in a stoic tone.
But then glanced over when the kind doctor touched her shoulder. "Eden, that's not polite. You should know better than that." He then smiled kindly to the young woman. "We'd love to help you, miss" he ignored the scoff from Eden. "And do not mind my friend here. She's just being cautious. Please tell us, or me then, who are you, what you are doing here and who you are looking for."

Knaira heard the name the Docter had called her, perhaps this was the one Shinra had sent her to find. "Eden? Eden Black?" Knaira hung her helmet on the handle bar and walked toward her almost ignoring the doctor. "My name is Knaira, what I need to discuss should not be said out in the open. And I believe I've been looking for you." She kept a relative distance form the both of them and held out her Shinra company badge for them to see.

Eden looked dryly at Knaira as her eyes flickered over the Shinra badge. She didn't look very amused at all to find out that this woman was one of THEM. Especially if it was that blasted Shinra who sent her.
So instead, she pulled back the hammer of her handgun, not putting it away at all. "Oh really? What you need to say to me, you can say right here and now. There is no other human in a hundred mile radius right now. No one will over hear you telling me anything." She paused to glance over at Dr. Ryuu. "As for him, what you need to say to me, you can say to him. He's under my protection, so he stays at my side." She told her dryly.
"Eden." sighed Dr. Ryuu, shaking his head.

She calmly took another step foward. "I was sent by Mr. Shinra to ask you if you would accompany me on a mission. It is of great importance. I will not disclose any information unless you agree." Knaira loved it when she got to talk all formal-like. And it would be easy this way to get a companion to go with, she didn't like going anywhere without back up. Even the ride here had made her nervous, being somewhere she was unfamiliar and unaccompanied.

Eden groaned when she heard that name. She had not wanted to hear from HIM so soon. As if he didn't have her and Dr. Ryuu doing enough as it was. "Ugh. Give me a break. He's still ordering me around." She growled but then folded her arms. She was sorely tempted in just refusing. She did not want to work for Rufus Shinra, even if he paid her all the money in the world. She absolutely hated the idea. However, when Dr. Ryuu gently nudged her arm, she rolled her eyes and nodded. "Fine, whatever. I'll do it. As long as it gives me something to do besides just sitting around here, having nothing challenging to fight. What is this stupid mission?"

She smiled at her new comrade knowing she would like what she was about to hear. "We are to hunt down the newly resuected Sephiroth>" Knaira even surprised herself with how crazy the initial statement sounded But she continued. "He recently stole a Top Secret Document and a friend of Cloud Strife, We are to track him to find Sephiroth and get the file back." She simply grinned at Eden waiting to hear what she had to say about their mission.

Eden froze when she heard Sephiroth's name. She was surprised to hear that he was their mission, much less being alive. Of course, she knew him almost too well. She remembered him from her short childhood, or of what she did remember. He had been the one who kidnapped her from her home in the first place, or that's what she had heard from Dr. Ryuu.
Dr. Ryuu also looked very surprised to hear that Sephiroth was going to be Eden's target. He knew for a fact that if he was involved, she would definitely take this job. She had a grudge against him, even though she didn't remember exactly why. "Eden," He spoke carefully. "Are you going to be okay with this?"
"Yes, Doctor." Eden found herself coolly as she continued to stare right at Knaira. She then nodded to the Turk. "Very well. If it's Sephiroth we're after, then count me in. I have some unfinished business with that silver haired tyrant." She said coldly. "When do we leave and where are we going?"

Knaira walked back to her bike taking her helmet in hand. "We could leave now if you'd like, we have to hunt down Cloud Strife. Sephiroth kidnapped a friend oif his, so Cloud will lead us him."

Eden paused in mid thought. She was aware of who Cloud Strife was, though only by reputation. She had never had the chance to meet him or any of his companions. But from what she heard, he was a pretty good man. So she would give him that much credit. But to think that Sephiroth had gone and kidnapped someone, that really put another black mark on the young warrioress' list.
"All right. We can leave soon." Eden stated to Knaira but then turned to Dr. Ryuu. "Doctor, I'd rather you stick around here instead of coming with us. It won't be safe for you and nothing ever happens here so you should be all right." She shifted her weight. "I won't be able to fight Sephiroth and protect you at the same time, so......" She cut herself off with a shrug.
Dr. Ryuu only smiled with a nod. "I understand, Eden. And I can promise you, I'll be fine. I think it would be best if I continued my research here anyway." He reached over and gently tapped her on the shoulder. "Just be careful, all right." He paused looking over at Eden's motorcycle standing near a tree. "You best take that with you. I can't drive it and I'll be fine walking from here back to Bone Village anyway."
Eden just nodded once. "All right. " She turned her eyes back to Knaira. "Let's go then." She told her as she went over to her own bike and climbed onto it.

Knaira climbed on her bike. "We'll have to find Cloud Strife first, though we shouldn't confront him. I'm sure he'll figure out he's being followed sooner or later." She called to her new companion before slipping her helmet on.

Eden only nodded as she kicked her motorcycle alive, not even bothering with a helmet. She didn't have one anyway and even if she did have one, she wouldn't wear it. She liked the wind blowing through her hair and past her skin. It always made her feel like flying through the air when she did. "All right. Let's go find this Cloud Strife then. Whoever he is." She muttered the last bit to herself. She paused to look over her shoulder at Dr. Ryuu who just smiled softly at her and rose a hand.
